COVID-19 Update

By Laura Anderson

We have adapted how we operate to ensure we are complying with the latest COVID-19 restrictions and current Government guidelines in keeping everyone in our community safe.

SALES

Inspecting Properties for Sale
We are still able to show properties for sale but will be undertaking the following:

  • We require attendees to declare they are not ill, self-isolating, been in contact with anyone that has returned a positive Covid result.
  • You must make an appointment to view a home.
  • Masks must be worn at all times
  • We can only show one person (in addition to one agent) through a property at any one time. Please note, if you are coming from the same household we can still only show ONE person through at a time.
  • You must sign in using the NSW Government QR Code.
  • When inspecting a home you cannot touch anything or open any doors/drawers. We ask home occupants to have all lights turned on and doors opened to eliminate the need for the sales agents to touch anything.
  • Hand sanitiser will be available
  • Observe social distancing protocols.
  • Any person inspecting a home for sale must genuinely need a home to live in (no investment properties).
  • If you would like to book a virtual inspection of a property please reach out to the relevant agent.

Appraisals
We are still offering appraisals over this period. If you would like to book an appraisal please phone Kevin on 0414 771 303, Barry on 0414 771 304 or the office on 4677 1302.

Signing of Contracts
You can elect to sign contracts and agency agreements electronically or arrange an appointment to come into our office. Again, this will only be one person at a time. Masks are required to enter our office, along with the check in QR Code.

Property Marketing
If clients are happy to proceed, we will ensure all safety measures are taken to continue to produce marketing materials i.e photography and floorplans.

Pre-Settlement Inspections
Pre-settlement inspections will proceed but in line with NSW Government guidelines.

PROPERTY MANAGEMENT

Inspecting Properties For Lease
Please note: we will only show rental properties if they are vacant.

We are still able to show properties for lease but have implemented a new process. We require you to apply for the property online first. You can do this by finding the property on our website clicking the link to apply for the property, and filling out the online application via Snug.  If you are a suitable applicant we will then contact you to arrange a private inspection. After inspecting the home, if you would like to proceed with your application please let the property management team know and we will submit your application to the landlord. When inspecting a home will be undertaking the following:

  • If you would like to book a virtual inspection of a property please reach out to the relevant agent.

Routine Inspections
These are now conducted virtually with the tenant. The tenant is sent a link with instructions on how to complete the report and include photos. Our team will then review the comments and photos, complete the report and send to our landlords as normal.

Vacate Inspections
Our Property Managers will continue to complete vacate inspections for the bond refund. The inspection is completed by the property manager only. When returning the keys for the property please phone prior to coming to the office to make an appointment. When entering the office you are required to wear a face mask and check in with the QR Code.

In end of lease situations, our maintenance team will now only commence work once the current tenant has vacated the property. This will minimise our team’s and preferred tradesman’s risk.

Ingoing Inspections
Ingoing inspections will continue and tenants can move in as usual. When signing the lease and collecting the keys you will be required to make an appointment with the property manager to come into the office. When entering the office you are required to wear a face mask and check in with the QR Code.
