Paying Your Rent

It’s important that paying your rent is just like paying any other type of bill. Many people do not realise that your rental history will support your credit rating.  Therefore it’s important you are aware of the payment options and what is required.

We take no cash payments in our office so we recommend these two options:

Deposit Books – Deposit books are available from our office for your rent payments at no cost, although please note that if the deposit book is damaged, lost or misplaced, you will be charged a fee of $4.00 – $8.00 depending on the book size for another one.

Direct Debit – Please ask someone in the office for our account details, so that you can set up with your bank to directly pay us on your due date.

Eftpos – You can come into the office and pay with your card.

Under the Residential Tenancies Act you are required to pay your rent by the date noted on the schedule in your lease and it must always be paid in advance. Should you have any difficulties in paying your rent please notify us as soon as possible.

If you have requested maintenance you should not take matters into your own hands and stop paying rent as a way to get work done. If you do this you are breaching the agreement and you could be given a Notice to Leave.
